A company celebration has a rhythm to it: guests arrive to a cocktail reception, settle into dinner, the program runs (speeches, awards, maybe a raffle), and then the floor opens for dancing. It's a lot like a wedding reception — multiple phases, each needing different energy, all on a tight timeline with your executives and guests watching.
That's exactly what the Company Party Package is built to run. I've been a working DJ since 2001 and have run Cope Entertainment across Sacramento and Central California since 2011 — holiday parties most of all, plus employee appreciation nights, awards dinners, fundraisers, and milestone celebrations. I show up dressed for your room, handle your program cleanly, and keep the night on schedule so you can actually attend your own event.
Premium sound system for up to 200 guests
Wireless handheld mic for speeches, toasts, awards, and announcements
Colored dance lighting (premium lighting available on request)
Setup and breakdown — I arrive early, leave clean
Experienced DJ and polished MC — me, start to finish
Custom music programming matched to your company culture and crowd
Client planning portal with timeline, music preferences, and event details
Two 1-hour planning meetings
Up to five hours of service
50 miles of travel included
Not every corporate event needs a full five-hour package. For shorter gatherings — a brief awards presentation, a two-hour mixer, a quick company announcement event — I offer hourly rates. Request a Quote and tell me about your event; I'll let you know whether a package or an hourly booking makes more sense.
Holiday parties are my busiest corporate season, but I run company celebrations year-round:
Company holiday parties — the December flagship event (book early; the season fills fast)
Employee appreciation events — year-end parties, milestone celebrations, team nights
Awards nights and recognition dinners — with full MC support for the program
Fundraisers and galas — including auction and program support
Company anniversaries and milestone celebrations
Summer parties and company picnics
Grand openings and ribbon cuttings
Planning a conference, seminar, or product launch that needs staging, large-format video, or technical production? That's a different service — see my A/V Services page.
The skills overlap, but a corporate celebration has a few things a wedding doesn't:
A program that has to stay on schedule. Speeches, awards, recognition moments, raffles — these have to run on time and sound professional. A corporate DJ manages the mic and the music cues so the program is crisp, not chaotic.
A different crowd to read. A corporate crowd warms up differently than a wedding crowd. People are with coworkers, not family. The energy build is different, and 25 years of experience tells me how to handle it.
A professional setting. I dress for a business event, keep the MC presence polished and appropriate, and represent your company well in front of your employees and guests.
Your reputation on the line. When you're the person who booked the entertainment, the event reflects on you. My job is to make sure it reflects well.
Here's how a typical company celebration plays out:
Cocktail reception: I'm set up and playing background music as guests arrive. Professional, conversation-friendly — the tone-setter for the night.
Dinner: Curated dinner music at a level that lets people talk and network. On the mic between courses for any announcements or introductions.
The program (speeches / awards): This is where corporate events live or die. Wireless mic handled cleanly, music ducked and cued around speeches, awards, and recognition. Your CEO's remarks come through clearly. The program stays on schedule.
Dancing: Once the formal program wraps, the floor opens. I read the crowd — a corporate crowd needs a different build than a wedding — and bring the energy up as the night goes on.
A photobooth is one of the most popular corporate add-ons. It gives employees and guests something to do, generates branded content for your company social channels, and creates a keepsake from the event.
Custom-designed photo strips with your company logo or event branding
Multiple backdrop options
Professional attendant
Video message recording feature
Digital downloads delivered to you after the event
A company party DJ isn't five hours of background music. You're paying for someone who can run the entertainment AND the program — keep the cocktail hour relaxed, the dinner conversational, the awards segment crisp and on-time, and the dance floor full — without you having to manage any of it.
Behind the scenes, that's weeks of coordination with your planning team, a custom music program matched to your company culture, equipment tested and backed up, and a timeline rehearsed so the speeches, the awards, and the music all hit their cues. On the night of, you get to actually attend your own event instead of running it.
The reason companies rebook me year after year isn't the music. It's that the event ran smoothly and made them look good — which is the entire point when your name is on it.
For company parties that want extra impact:
Custom Video Monogram — project your company logo or event branding on the wall
Uplighting — wash the venue in your company's brand colors
Cold Sparks — indoor-safe spark fountains for a dramatic awards moment or grand reveal
Sacramento company party DJ pricing typically ranges from $800 to $2,500+ depending on guest count, hours, add-ons, and program complexity. The Company Party Package covers up to five hours for up to 200 guests. For smaller events, I also offer hourly rates. Send your event details for an exact quote.
Yes. I manage the wireless mic, cue and duck the music around speeches and presentations, and keep the program running on time. Whether it's a CEO address, an awards ceremony, or a fundraiser auction, the program is handled so it sounds professional and stays on schedule.
As early as possible. Corporate holiday party season — late November through December — is the most competitive booking window of the year. Many companies book their December party 4-6 months ahead. If your event is in the holiday season, reach out in summer or early fall to secure your date.
Yes. Not every event needs a full package. For smaller gatherings — short awards presentations, mixers, brief company events — I offer hourly rates. Request a quote and I'll let you know whether a package or hourly booking fits your event better.
This package is for celebrations — parties, awards nights, fundraisers, dinners with dancing. My A/V Services cover technical production events: conferences, seminars, product launches, and presentations that need staging, large-format video, and concert-grade audio. If your event is a party, you're on the right page. If it's a presentation-heavy production, head to the A/V page.
