This first post of mine is dedicated entirely to my two mentors, the owner’s of my parent company – Sound In Motion Entertainment Group – namely “DJ Adrian” Cavlan and “King” Raffi Nalvarian – as they have nurtured me through almost my entire DJ career and still continue to do so. I am very grateful, thanks guys.

My passion for performing began in 1997, at Pioneer high School, in San Jose, during my senior year when my other ASB friends and I talked the administration into letting us play music in the quad on Fridays during lunch. It was then that I was hooked. I am not even sure my first experiences playing music in front of people qualifies as “DJing,” but alas, I was hooked.

And so it goes, with nothing but a discman, a PA system, and a mic my career was launched. I started training to be a professional mobile DJ in 1999. I have been professionally working over 12 years now as a DJ with Sound In Motion, and in 2011 I finally launched my own company – Cope Entertainment Wedding DJ’s & MC’s – providing the the Greater Sacramento Area with very experienced, quality-oriented, and non-cheesy mobile DJ entertainment!

This is just the first post of this blog. In it I will be telling stories, letting you in on good entertainment and wedding planning advice. In the next post I will attempt to tell a story of the fun procedure in starting a mobile DJ business. How I did things, and where I am now.

See you then!
